Official Contact

All correspondence with The Blockchain History editorial team should be sent to our official email address:

editor@theblockchainhistory.com

This is the sole authorized contact channel for editorial, academic, media, and copyright matters. We do not accept inquiries through social media direct messages for formal requests.

Response Times

We aim to acknowledge receipt within 24–48 hours on business days. Substantive replies — including verification of correction requests — typically follow within 48–72 hours, depending on the complexity of the inquiry and the sources required for review.

Urgent factual errors affecting living persons or active legal proceedings receive priority handling.

How to Submit a Factual Correction

The Blockchain History maintains a transparent correction process. To submit a verifiable factual correction, please email editor@theblockchainhistory.com with the subject line "Correction Request" and include:

  1. Page URL — The exact URL of the page containing the disputed statement.
  2. Quoted passage — Copy the specific sentence, paragraph, or data point you believe is inaccurate.
  3. Issue description — Explain precisely what is wrong and why (e.g., incorrect date, misattributed quote, outdated figure).
  4. Supporting evidence — Provide at least one primary or authoritative secondary source:
    • Original white papers, protocol specifications, or Git commit hashes
    • Archived mailing-list posts (e.g., Cypherpunks Mailing List archives)
    • On-chain transaction IDs or block references
    • Court filings, regulatory documents, or peer-reviewed publications
    • Wayback Machine or other permanent archive links (preferred over live URLs that may change)

Corrections supported by Tier 1 or Tier 2 sources (see our Editorial Policy) are reviewed first. Anonymous or unsourced claims cannot be acted upon.

If your correction is accepted, we will update the page, adjust the updated_at date, and — where the change is substantive — note the correction in the page revision history.

Inquiry Categories

Please use the appropriate subject line so your message reaches the right reviewer promptly:

| Subject Line | Purpose | | --- | --- | | Correction Request | Factual errors, outdated dates, misattributions, or missing primary sources | | Source Suggestion | Recommendations for primary documents, archives, or scholarly references to strengthen a page | | Media & Citation | Press inquiries, interview requests, permission to quote or republish excerpts with attribution | | Copyright | DMCA takedown notices, licensing requests, or disputes over reproduced materials | | General Inquiry | Questions about site scope, editorial standards, or archival methodology |

Academic Corrections & Source Suggestions

For scholarly corrections and archival improvements, include bibliographic details (author, title, publication date, permanent URL or DOI). Our editorial board cross-references all suggestions against our source tier system before making changes.

Media & Citation Permissions

Journalists, researchers, and educators may quote brief excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to the original page. For extended republication, syndication, or translation requests, email editor@theblockchainhistory.com with the subject line "Media & Citation", describing the intended use, audience, and publication outlet.

We generally grant non-commercial academic and journalistic reuse when attribution requirements are met. Commercial republication requires prior written approval.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • The URL of the allegedly infringing material on our Site
